Is it for me?

If you are interested in a career in adult nursing or midwifery, this course will give you an excellent working knowledge of the subject matter and skills necessary to be successful.
The course is delivered in our purpose-built laboratories and specialist suite of rooms, including a simulation ward and an anatomy and therapeutic suite.
You will gain the connections, qualifications, and personal skills you need to progress either within employment or further education and training.
Equivalent to three A Levels, this course will give you a complimentary mix of classroom based, simulated learning and a work placement with a local employer in line with your career aspirations.
This course runs in partnership with the Health and Care Academy, West Suffolk Hospital, Addenbrookes Hospital and other employers in the health sector.
You will also have the opportunity to complete additional qualifications such as first aid, manual handling and food safety.

What you'll learn

In the first year, there are three elements to the course - the core subjects of healthcare and science as well as an employer skills project.
In the second year, you will complete skills and knowledge development through both class-based and work-based learning.

Equipment required for the course

You will need to buy two work placement shirts and a copy of the course text at an approximate cost of £65.

Work experience placements

An industry placement is a big part of the T Level course - you'll need to undertake a minimum of 315 hours of mandatory industry experience where you can put your technical skills and classroom knowledge to the test, further enhance existing skills, as well as developing hands on experience in your chosen industry.
