How to Apply

The Eastern Colleges Group, comprising of Abbeygate Sixth Form College specialising in A Levels, One Sixth Form College specialising in A Level and Vocational qualifications and West Suffolk College Sixth Form specialising in vocational qualifications alongside the West Suffolk College Apprenticeship service; are committed to guaranteeing every Year 11 student a place for your Post 16 education from September 2020.

We know that everyone is an individual, with their own dreams and aspirations and our purpose is to have you at the heart of everything we do. We want to reassure you that regardless of what you would like to study, be it A Levels, Vocational qualifications or an apprenticeship we have the expertise to support you to ensure you are enrolled on the programme that is tailored to you and your needs.

Application process

  • Applying for full time courses if you are over 16 or a school leaver

    It’s wise to apply as early as possible for the course you’d like to join as courses fill up quickly.

    We can process applications up to the start of a course, but it’s always good to know you’ve got an offer early.

    The application forms ask for a lot of information which we use to ensure everyone is treated fairly. 

    Students with disabilities/learning difficulties

    Whatever it is that you may need help with, our team can work with you to put in place the right support that meets your needs. 

    How to Apply

    You can make an application online from each course page where there are links to online admissions.

    You can apply for more than one course by adding them to your basket.

    To complete the application process you will need to register, or login if you already have a user account.

    We hold several open events during the year where you can meet staff and students and ask any further questions you have about your course.

    If you’d rather submit a paper application form (these are available from our main campus and any of our learning centres), please complete it and send to:

    What happens next

    Once we receive your application, you will be invited in for an interview.

  • Applying for part time and leisure courses for 19+ / Adult learners

    Take a look through our range of part time courses for adults, and once you’ve decided which course and location you wish to study, you can complete your application online.

    Online applications

    From each part time course page there are links to online admissions.

    You can enquire or apply for more than one course by adding them to your basket.

    To complete the application process you will need to register, or login if you already have a user account.

    For leisure courses you can simply enrol online as there are no interviews or special applications criteria.

  • Applications for University of Suffolk degree courses

    For full time degree courses offered by Degree Studies at West Suffolk College, you should apply through UCAS.

    Part time courses may be applied for directly through Degree Studies or call 01284 716 341 for further information about Higher Education study here.
