Overview of course
At West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds we offer high level tuition and revision for ACCA Professional Skills Exams. These are delivered as a modular approach approximately every 3 months as follows:
Advanced Performance Management (APM)
Application of relevant knowledge, skills and exercise professional judgement in selecting and applying strategic management accounting techniques in different business contexts and to contribute to the evaluation of the performance of an organisation and its strategic development.
Advanced Financial Management (AFM)
This module is designed to replicate the role of a senior financial executive or advisor, and prepares candidates to advise management and / or clients on complex strategic financial management issues facing an organisation.
Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
This module requires students to demonstrate ability to make strategic business reporting decisions. Set within the corporate reporting environment, students will be tested on concepts, theories, principles and ability to apply this knowledge to real life scenarios.
Strategic Business Leader (SBL)
This module mirrors the workplace and provides students with real world challenges allowing demonstration of a blend of technical, practical and professional skills. Working through the Ethics and Professional Skills module either before the start or alongside studies, this gives students insights into professional skills that can be applied in the exam and in the workplace.
Entry requirements
ACCA Level 6 and subject to interview by tutor.
