Clearing 2020

degree studies heaeer

'Clearing' is a fantastic opportunity to get a late place on a University-level course for September.

It’s run by UCAS, and you can apply from the 6 July for any of our University of Suffolk, University of East Anglia or Pearson courses, as long as you don’t already have an offer from another University or College.

Are you eligible for clearing?

You will be eligible to apply for your chosen course through Clearing if:

  • You’re applying after 30 June.
  • You want a place at a university but haven’t yet applied.
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of the offers you received.
  • You didn’t receive or accept any offers for a course from a university.
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your offers.
  • You’ve declined your firm place because you changed your mind about your chosen course or location.

If the above scenarios apply and you’re ready to take the next step into Clearing, here are a few quick tips to prepare you for the process:

How do I apply using Clearing?

It’s really simple. Just give us a call on 01284 716 391 or email us at degreestudies@wsc.ac.uk with your contact details. Once we have some more details from you the Course Director for your chosen degree will consider your application, they may need to speak with you directly. Then we’ll let you know the outcome of your enquiry.

It’s that simple and you could quickly have a place on your chosen University degree with us.

Then what?

You may be made a conditional offer if you have outstanding results or if more evidence of your skills or experience are required. Your place will be confirmed following your results day or once you have submitted evidence or a piece of work.

Once your place is confirmed we will be in contact regarding enrolment, induction and your start date.

Please make sure that you apply for Student Finance as soon as you are offered a place. If you need additional support in completing your application please contact careersadvice@wsc.ac.uk

If you’re still unsure about Clearing and require further information on the process, check out the UCAS Clearing guide for additional advice.

Remember:

  1. Always Seek advice

Talk to an advisor at the College or your previous School so that they can talk you through your course options. You can contact our own College careers team at careersadvice@wsc.ac.uk

  1. See what courses are available here: course list | view courses available for clearing on the UCAS website: www.wsc.ac.uk/ucas
  1. Track your Clearing choices

Once you have confirmation of your place from the College, remember to track your choices through the online UCAS Track system. Simply click ‘add Clearing choice’ and fill in the course details. You don’t need to reply to a Clearing offer we will do that for you via UCAS.

Prepare for joining your course in September 2020!
