Some of our Business and Retail students have teamed up with local Bury St Edmunds escape room ‘The Evidence Room,’ to support them with their promotional activity for the New Year.
The Evidence Room is the first permanent and independent escape room in Bury St Edmunds, and offers an innovative array of puzzles and authentic props, designed to test people’s skills, teamwork and patience.
The students have been working with the company on their advertising, market research, promotions and sales and have created a discount code where students in groups of three or more can get 25% discount from now until Saturday 29 February.
Toby Robertson, age 17 from Stowmarket said “It has been a great opportunity marketing for the evidence room and really interesting for us to work on a live project end to end giving us real industry experience.”
Ben Cunningham, Owner of ‘The Evidence Room’ said, “We are really excited to be collaborating with the students from West Suffolk College, it is a great experience for us to work with the next generation of business leaders!”
Nina Hart, Lecturer in Business and Tourism, said: “Working with local businesses is a key part of the retail and marketing course, allowing the students to put their business skills into practice in a real business environment. Working with The Evidence Room, Bury St Edmunds first escape room, has worked really well, not only engaging the students, but building links with the local community.”
