Henry Hatch completed his Level 3 Media course at the West Suffolk College and has now recently graduated from Ravensbourne university in Digital Film Production.

Henry achieved all this despite the challenges of managing his academic studies and his health. To highlight this, he has made a short documentary video highlighting what is like for those who have epilepsy. Henry said: "I wanted to create a documentary to show what having an often hidden disability like epilepsy is like, both for an individual and for their friends and family around them.". As a part of his creative team, he roped in friends from his time on his College course (Archie Tilley and Jaden Bernard) to assist in the production.

Tutor Daniel Connor said: "Henry demonstrated great resilience when he was a student and this documentary is both deeply personal, touching and enlightening."

Speaking about his time at West Suffolk College, Henry added: " The course at West Suffolk College was very fun and the teachers were helpful and supportive. The amount of real-life work experience offered to students on the course was phenomenal. It set is up to really thrive at university.”

Henry is now focusing on his own filming business HJH Media and is continuing to expand both his knowledge and his portfolio. Henry’s Course Director Ben Pryke said 'it is great that Henry has continued to develop the skills he learnt on his course overcoming some considerable challenges, we are all very proud of Henry'.
