WorldSkillsUK Graphic DesignPictured is graphic design tutor Jodi Parker alongside WorldSkillsUK finalist Chloe Hayward.

A student from West Suffolk College's School of Art, Design and Digital-Creative made it through to the final of the WorldSkillsUK Graphic Design competition.

Chloe Hayward, from Needham Market, is a current student on the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Graphic Design.

Chloe is competing in the final round for World Skills UK Graphic Design competition in Middlesbrough. Chloe competed in the passive stage and was successful in being shortlisted for the semi-finals. She then worked on a challenging brief and made it to the finals. Chloe is one of only eight competitors who were selected (from across the whole of the UK) to take part in the final live competition.

"We are really proud of Chloe and we wish Chloe all the best of luck while she competes this week," explained her course director Jodi Parker, who has been supporting Chloe on this incredible journey. "Chloe has worked exceptionally well while studying for her Level 3 qualification, so there was no doubt that she was the right student to be selected for the WorldSkills competition.

"Since arriving in Middlesbrough, Chloe has been highly focussed and is working on a professional brief for a well-known brand. She has coped with the pressure of working in a competition environment and is already demonstrating the character strengths needed to succeed in the creative industries. Whatever happens from this point onwards, Chloe is already a winner because this is a huge achievement that will serve her well in the future."
