About the course
This qualification is designed for learners who are working as a team leader/supervisor with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team.
The objectives of this qualification are to help you to:
- Focus on the study of management within different occupational areas
- Demonstrate the skills, knowledge and behaviours they will need to operate as a successful team leader or supervisor
- Develop skills and knowledge in a range of areas relevant to their role, such as leading and managing people, building relationships and communication, operational and project management, finance and personal effectiveness
Entry requirements
- Be aged 19+ on the 31/08/2025
- Learners must be a UK resident and legally living in the UK on the first day of learning. (proof required)
- Due to Government funding criteria, we are unable to accept learners who live in London, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Ireland or a devolved postcode areas. Please check with us if you are unsure.
- Learners must be employed in a role that allows them to provide evidence from a real work environment.
- Learners must be working as a team leader or supervisor with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team.
- Learners must have sufficient time to complete the qualification, which has a total qualification time of approximately 370 hours.

How will I be assessed?
All learning will be online (self-study) and can be completed at a time that suits without the need to attend college. Dedicated tutors will provide written feedback on the assessments and ongoing remote support where required.
The course includes online learning materials in the form of interactive resources and flipbooks, a personalised login to access the online learning portal will be given on enrolment.
You will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and demonstrate your knowledge. Your personal tutor will then assess your work and provide you with constructive feedback for each unit.
Where is the course delivered? (facilities/classrooms)
All learning will be online (self-study) and can be completed at a time that suits without the need to attend college. Dedicated tutors will provide written feedback on the assessments and ongoing remote support where required.
This course is 20-weeks long. You can enrol at any time.
How much will it cost?
You may be eligible for government funding if:
- You are aged 19+
- You live in the UK
- You are employed and earning less than £25,750 per annum (or £30,491 if you live in a CB/PE postcode)
OR
- you are unemployed and in receipt of certain benefits
If you are not eligible for funding, a course fee would be payable. This can be paid in instalments, paid via invoice by an Employer or you can apply for an Advance Learner Loan personally.
