Health and Social Care Apprentice of the Year - Luke Gifkin
Luke Gifkin, 26 from Martlesham near Ipswich received the health and social care apprentice of the year prize.
Luke has been a support worker for five years and said the experience of studying on his level two course was both ‘fun’ and ‘hard work’.
He went on to say that he was ‘in shock and very happy’ when he found out the news of his success.
"My manager announced the fact I had won my award during lunchtime in front of my colleagues. Receiving this news has helped me to believe in myself."
Luke added: "The College has been very helpful and long term I’d like to continue to work in the care setting."
