Keeping in touch
You or your parents/guardians are welcome to call or visit the College at any time if you have any concerns about your course.
If you move house or otherwise change your contact details, please let us know so we can keep in touch.
Enrolment events are another opportunity to get a taste of College life.
We will write to you during the summer term inviting you to the College for your pre enrolment. It’s an opportunity to meet your course team and other students on your course. You will also be able look around the College and try taster activities so you’re all prepared for the start of term in September. You’ll also be able to pick up detailed course information, including any equipment you might need, what to bring on your first day, how to get to here and what College life will be like.
We’ll explain what support the College provides during your course and how we keep your parents/guardians informed of your progress.
What happens when I get my exam results?
We will write to you in the Summer inviting you in for your Enrolment Confirmation event. This will be your opportunity to bring along your GCSE grades and confirm your place on your chosen course.
What happens if I did not get the required grades?
The first thing is not to stress out. It’s not a disaster, and you may still be able to get on a course, if not necessarily the one you had hoped to be on. Your Enrolment Confirmation event will allow you to speak with staff for advice and guidance on your suitable level.
We also have special drop-in sessions following the GCSE results day where you can come in for advice and guidance following your results or if you want to change your course option.
What happens if I apply late?
We accept applications right up until the start of the course, but if you apply from July onwards you’ll be invited to the College to discuss your application in August.
During your visit you will be interviewed for the course of your choice. If all goes well, you will be able to complete your enrolment and get all the information you need to start your course.
