Music Performance, Production and Live Events

Whether you want to be on the stage or behind the mixing desk, running lights and sound for shows or producing releasable quality music – we have an inspirational and relevant course here for you at West Suffolk College.

You could join one of our ex-students that are touring the world, composing music for film, games and TV, are artists in their own right or freelance music producers and sound engineers. What better way to channel your talent and get your big break into this high energy, stimulating industry.

We have recently invested £250,000 in our music department, with a brand-new recording studio, four edit suites and four fully kitted out rehearsal rooms, not to mention investment in new Macs and software in every room. There is always a hive of activity going on with recording sessions, live performance workshops and productions happening day in day out.

There are absolutely no exams on any of our courses – it’s all about developing your creative skills, whether that is performing on stage, behind the mixing desk, composing, producing tracks or working in the studio.

We have our very own creative eco-system here at West Suffolk College, and we would love you to be a part of it!
