This exciting course is designed to give students the essential skills and knowledge to enter the world of fashion promotion, receiving a nationally recognised qualification.
If you love everything to do with fashion and want to be involved in the industry in some format, then this is the course for you!
You will cover Fashion Promotion, Visual Merchandising, Fashion Photography and Imagery, Styling, Blogging, Marketing, Advertising, History of Fashion, Fashion Illustration, Photoshop, Business, Portfolio building, Print and Digital Design, Fashion Film and you will accumulate this into an independent Final Major Project at the end of each year, displayed in our School of Art and Design exhibition.
The course is very hands on, providing a wide range of opportunities to generate your own fashion imagery (through styling and photography), digitally manipulate these (photoshop, magazine layouts..) and generate really exciting outcomes (magazines, branding and promotion campaigns, fashion film, etc.). Collaboration is a key element of this course, alongside finding your own creative voice and interests.
We have excellent industry connections and a lot of our projects are led through live project briefs. For three years in a row, we had multiple students chosen as finalists in The Clothes Show Live's 'Young Fashion Photographer of the Year' award. Our students were also chosen to exhibit images at Norwich University of The Arts, in response to a competition run by Canon.
You can also see some of the work our students have created on Instagram.
