What will I learn?
This friendly and supportive course is perfect for complete beginners or anyone ready to take their skills further and experience the joy of creating with clay. Over 10 weeks, you'll learn a range of hand-building techniques — including pinching, slab building, coiling, and using moulds.
You'll explore pattern, texture, and mark-making, and experiment with decorating your pieces using slips, oxides, underglazes, and glazes. Along the way, you'll learn the basics of glazing to give your work a beautiful finish.

Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to refresh their pottery skills, this course focuses on strong foundations and hands-on techniques. Whether you're starting your pottery journey or rediscovering the basics, these sessions are all about learning, creating, and having fun
Will I have to provide anything?
- Please wear closed toe shoes and an apron.
- Please bring a notepad, sketchbook and pencils.
- Pottery tools are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
