About the course
Are you interested in studying our Personal Money Management course? Need help achieving financial goals? This course aims to enable more careful thinking about money, specifically how to budget better and save money. Learn about interest rates and how they affect financial decisions. Become more aware of daily, weekly and monthly spending as the course encourages evaluating spending and how necessary this is.
Entry requirements
- Be aged 19+ on the 31/08/2025
- Learners must be a UK resident and legally living in the UK on the first day of learning.(proof required)
- Due to Government funding criteria, we are unable to accept learners who live in London, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Ireland or a devolved postcode areas. Please check with us if you are unsure.

What you'll learn (core modules)
Section 1: Understanding personal money management
This section helps change attitudes towards money and learn how to make savings in order to manage money better and see it go further. Explore credit, the many different types and the cost of borrowing (including the dangers of the consequences following missed payments.)
Section 2: Applying methods for personal money management
Work out which daily methods suit best by exploring different ways to save. This section builds an understanding of what amount of earnings are actually taken home on payday after tax and national insurance deductions. Also learn an understanding of other potential deductions and entitlements that may be eligible.

This course is a fully online, self-directed, independent study course. Students must have use of a laptop to complete this course and must meet the eligibility criteria.
