The Conservatoire EAST students are set to host a live event in order to raise valuable funds for Theatre Royal and their ‘Show will go on’ campaign.

The event, which will be entirely student led, has seen The Conservatoire EAST team record songs, monologues and dance routines that will all form a stream of live performances on Friday evening. Student Oliver Brown who also works as a Technician for Theatre Royal came up with the concept.

Han Colthorpe, Director of Production and Performing Arts asaid: “We have a fantastic relationship with Theatre Royal so we are thrilled to be able to collaborate in order to support them and their campaign. The planning that has gone into this has been entirely student led and I am exceptionally proud of each and every one of them.”

Owen Calvert-Lyons new CEO/Artistic Director of Theatre Royal said: “This event shows how passionately young people feel about Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds.  I’m delighted that these students are using their talents to support us during this challenging time.”

The live event will be available for the public to tune in and will kick-start at 6.45pm on Friday 26th June and will be hosted on the college’s WSC Conservatoire EAST Facebook page.
