A group of art students took in the stunning art works and buildings of Barcelona on a trip to enhance their course work at the University of Suffolk at West Suffolk College.

They visited the Sagrada Familia, the largest unfinished Roman Catholic church in the world, designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, as well as other works in the city by the famous Catalan. They also took in the MACBA, the Fundació Miró, La Pedrera and strolled around the city spotting other amazing works of art.

The 26 students visited key galleries and museums viewing art by ground-breaking artists like Salvador Dali, Joan Miro and Pablo Picasso who lived in the city for a number of years.

They were all studying either BA(Hons) Graphic and Communication, BA(Hons) Applied Interior Design or UAL Art & Design Foundation Diploma Level 3.

“This trip was brilliant, not only for the cultural exposure, enriching the students’ wider learning experience, but also for forming memories and new friendships. It has aided the students with their final major projects and was a great starting point for their research,” said Sian Horn, course leader of the BA graphic and communication Design.
