Trophy Presentation by Trinity Rotary

The annual Rotary Young Server Competition was held at West Suffolk College on Wednesday 25th May. The competition helps to highlight the exciting careers within the hospitality sector, focusing on service skills.

The competition is organised by The Rotary Club and sponsored by Foodcare (a catering equipment supplier based in Kings Lynn) with prizes of vouchers to the value of £100, £50 and £25 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The Colleges taking part were College of West Anglia (Kings Lynn), Lincoln College, Ipswich, and West Suffolk College, with two students from each college taking part. The students were judged by the diners using a marking sheet provided by the organisers.

The overall winner was Lily Wager-Jones from West Suffolk College with Sophie Ayley from College of West Anglia in second place, and Morgan Potts from Lincoln College in 3rd place. It was a lovely day that was enjoyed by both the diners and the students. The next competition will be in March 2023, also at West Suffolk College, with several more colleges expressing interest in taking part.
