Digital Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship

All students will be asked to complete a form of work placement throughout their college course. The number of hours and commitment will be determined by the study programme.

Who are the Work Placement Team?

Each course will have a designated Work Placement Officer that will be assigned to support, students throughout their time at West Suffolk College. Although students will be expected to find their own placement, the Work Placement Officers will be able to provide opportunities, give guidance and monitor the placements throughout the year. Students will be introduced to their Work Placement Officer at the start of the academic year who will give training, deliver expectations, and provide their contact details for students to use.

FAQs

Q: Is my child expected to find their placement on their own?

A: Yes this is the expectation. There is, however, a dedicated Work Placement team that can offer support when needed.

Q: When does my child have to complete their placement?

A: This is determined by their specific course. The Work Placement Officer will inform the students at the start of term. It could be that your child has a designated block week, or they may be expected to complete it on their non-college days.

Q: Can my child work for my company?

A: This is fine if the company's industry is relevant to their course. However, we do advise students to try and find a different employer first.

Q: My child has a placement sorted. What's next?

A: Their Work Placement Officer will need to be notified as soon as possible and they will need to upload the company details to Grofar.

Q: I have seen lots of branding for T-Levels, what are they?

A: T-Levels are a classroom-based, technical study programme - sitting alongside A-Levels and Apprenticeships. They are designed to support entry to skilled employment in technical occupations at level 3 and above. Industry placements will be a mandatory part of new T Levels.
