If English is not your first language, these courses are a good way to master a language that is widely spoken, but not easy to learn. It has rules, but they are not always applied; it has conventions that not everyone observes, and though it is old, it is always changing.
Available at centres throughout Suffolk and South Norfolk, our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses start with complete beginners and progress to Level 2, the standard for school leavers in the UK.
Course tutors will always check what level of English you have already reached and suggest you begin at the course most suitable for you.
Your class will contain people with a similar level of English to you, and the teaching will be friendly, informal and fun.
English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL) programmes are designed specifically for people living in Britain and focus on preparing learners for the world of work or citizenship. The courses aim to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing and understanding of the English language, whatever your current level of English. We offer a course and exam.
