GCSEs at grade 3 or above in Mathematics and English. Pass a short aptitude test. It is expected that the applicant will have a genuine interest in the construction industry and some experience of Bricklaying. Applicants will be required to attend an interview. |

City and Guilds Level 1 Award and Certificate in Construction Skills (6219-04 and 6219-05)
This qualification provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry and covers essential skills in the following construction trades: carpentry and joinery.
The full course length is approximately 34 weeks, with the first term covering the Award and the remaining terms covering the Certificate.
We do have the flexibility to offer further weeks if students need additional support to complete their qualifications within the academic year. For example, we can add additional teaching and support during half-term breaks, and this will be organised by the tutor on a local agreement with the cohort of learners.
