Student achievement at West Suffolk College was outstanding this year.
296 full-time students achieved at least a distinction or a distinction star in their courses.
The course with the highest number of distinctions was General Art and Design Extended Diploma Level 3. Twenty-five students achieved a distinction or distinction star grade. Nine gained a triple Distinction grade, four were awarded triple distinction star grade, the highest possible grade – and the maximum possible UCAS points.
Results by faculty
Faculty of Business, Art and Service Industries – 199 students from all levels went on to employment and 130 progressed to Higher Education
Faculty of Humanities, Health and Science – 172 students from all levels went onto employment and 162 progressed to Higher Education
Faculty of Technology and New Media – 170 students from all levels went onto employment and 90 progressed to Higher Education
University of Suffolk at West Suffolk College – 141 students achieved an honours degree compared to 100 last year. Of those 141 students, 15 students achieved a 1st and 74 students a 2:1. The courses with the most 1st class honours degrees were BA (Hons) Graphic Communication and BSc (Hons) Construction Management, with three students each.
