Vacancy Description

    • Adhering to dispensary standard operating procedures
    • Dealing with patients – handing out repeats, dealing with basic queries
    • Printing prescriptions
    • Administrative duties – Checking expired/expiring medication, invoice filing, recording uncollected medication, sending texts to patients for collecting prescriptions
    • Stock rotation – Checking off and putting away daily orders
    • Preparing baskets with medication for dispensers to process
    • To carry out instruction from dispensers
    • Cashing up daily

     

    Dispenser duties–

    • Adhering to dispensary standard operating procedures
    • Same as above but gaining a qualification to process, check medication and hand out
    • Deal with hospital letters
    • Process repeat and acute medication for patients
    • Prepare dossett boxes with medication for weekly delivery
    • Deal with queries from clinicians about medication
    • Expiry date drug monitoring and recording
    • Ensuring accurate and efficient running of the dispensary at all times
