Vacancy Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The following duties are not shown in order of priority or frequency, nor is the list comprehensive, but rather an indication of the type and level of duties expected of the post
  • Respond in a highly effective and timely manner to One Step Closer enquiries by telephone, e-mail or face-to-face from visitors to the College
  • Provide specific information in relation to One Step Closer, send accurate information to potential candidates or employers as appropriate and follow up enquiries
  • Record and refer enquiries to relevant member of staff or department
  • Support the Talent Coaches to track and monitor the One Step Closer project using a variety of College systems (including CRM, Onefile and Unit E)
  • Support the Talent Coaches with the production of project documentation for both candidates and employers, including reports for the Senior Management Team and West Suffolk Council
  • Support the Talent Coaches by organising specific One Step Closer events in relation to venues, invitations, hospitality etc.
  • Process course bookings for One Step Closer candidates, liaising closely with Business Development colleagues
  • Create and maintain digital records for each course, including delegate lists, registers and information for tutors
  • Collect and analyse evaluation feedback from One Step Closer candidates and employers, producing reports for the Senior Management Team and West Suffolk Council
  • Assist in the production of marketing materials for One Step Closer activities such as; e-mail shots, newsletters and preparation of other materials for displays and exhibitions
  • Coordinate One Step Closer social media presence; FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. in conjunction with the Talent Coaches, College marketing department and West Suffolk Council
  • Attend College and other relevant open/marketing events
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as required by the Director of Business Development
  • Liaise with the Business Development Team, Employer Engagement, Marketing and other Cross College Staff and external stakeholders, such as West Suffolk Council

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications with particular emphasis on high level word processing skills and working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms and their use for marketing
