Vacancy Description

Work within the existing test team in day to day activities including:

  • Installation of router firmware and configuration
  • Installation of windows and linux operating systems and basic configuration
  • Carry out basic mobile device testing
  • Updating of internal documentation
  • Also, to work on rotation with the technical support department, providing multi-product 1st line support to all levels of customer, by way of telephone, ticket, forum and email
  • Other duties as required

Desired skills

  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP stack and networking principles is advantageous
  • Methodical and accurate with keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Flexible work approach
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Confident typing professional public facing messages and forum posts with clarity and accurate grammar use
  • Ability to adapt to technical and non-technical customers alike
  • Quick learner

Personal qualities

  • Enthusiastic with an interest in internet technologies and hardware such as routers, switches and mobile devices
  • A team player willing to work across multiple departments

Qualifications required

  • GCSEs in maths, English and preferably IT at grade A-C (9-4) or the equivalent.
