Release the stresses of the day with a gentle programme of posture work, breathing, guided relaxation, and yoga philosophy.
What will I learn?
To learn self-awareness, how to relax mentally and physically and to gently stretch and tone all parts of the body. To improve self-confidence, flexibility and promote health in an enjoyable way. A good way to relax after a busy day - with ways of helping you to relax at home.
Who is the course for?
Our Yoga classes are open to anyone who would like to improve their fitness and health and enjoys group exercise classes. This course is a mixed ability class; suitable for beginners, more experienced and advanced students. As with all Yoga classes we advise anyone with a pre-existing medical condition to seek advice from their GP before exercising.
Will I have to provide anything?
Bring a good yoga mat or thick blanket, at least as long as your body. Yoga 'sticky' mats are a good investment and are readily available. You will also need a blanket for relaxation and possibly a cushion or block to sit or rest your head on. Also a strap, belt, scarf to help 'reach' in some of the postures. Loose non-restrictive clothing such as a tracksuit, leggings, shorts or leotard. Socks and jumper to keep warm during complete relaxation.
