This study programme is designed for 16 to 19 year olds (aged 19 to 24 for students with an Education, Health and Care Plan).

All courses take place on our Sixth Form Campus, therefore any applicants aged 25+ or over who do not have an Education, Health and Care Plan may be required to complete a DBS check as part of the conditional offer to West Suffolk College. The cost to the applicant for a DBS is £30.00 and the DBS check can be completed through the college.

Please visit our Adult EducationDegrees and Employer section for alternative courses.

About the course

If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl, but by all means, keep moving.

This 2 year programme is the equivalent to studying 3 A-levels.

We have joined forces with This Girl Can, Her Game Too to develop a BTEC Level 3 programme that offers a fully supported and rounded provision, delivered in a safe and inclusive environment.

Level 3 Sport for females provides a fully supported and rounded provision, delivered in a safe inclusive environment.

Over the two year program, students gain a vast range of knowledge of the sports and active leisure sector. This course supports students looking to build a career in sport, in areas such as exercise and fitness, coaching and leadership, sports development, and the outdoors.

Students are assessed through project practical assessments and assignments based upon real-life sporting scenarios.

Entry Requirements

Entry is by interview. Applicants will need a minimum of four GCSEs Grade 4 or above, including maths and/or English at Grade 4.
