About the course
Our award winning Prince's Trust TEAM programme is a 12 â€“ week course for 16 -25 year olds, with multiple start dates through the year in September, January and May for young people to choose from. Attendance to a taster day and an interview support young people to make an informed choice to enrol on a course that can change their lives for the better.
You must be aged 16 -25 and unemployed. No formal qualifications are necessary, although an interview is essential to identify individual needs and the appropriateness of the course, plus successful completion of a taster day where you can demonstrate your commitment to developing your skill set towards further education, Traineeships, apprenticeships, employment and training. The programme is free and will not affect benefit entitlement.
Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills qualification offered at entry level 3, level 1 or 2. As part of this course learners will have the opportunity to develop functional skills in English and maths via assessments within the course induction week, leading to working on areas identified for improvement.
What you'll learn (core modules)
This course offers learners the opportunity to identify their strengths and areas for improvement including employability skills. This is a 12 week programme made up of a number of stages: Induction, Team Building Residential, Community Project, individual Work Experience Placement, Next Steps, Team Challenge and Final Presentation.
The course will take place in a purpose built active learning environment within the College. Learners will be able to access a number of cross-College facilities as well as working with a number of other staff in the College.
Learners will access the wider community in their studies and in an enrichment programme which consists of a four - day residential away that involves a number of outdoor pursuits including raft building, caving and abseiling.
How will I be assessed?
Throughout the course there will be continuous assessment and portfolio building.

Learners who complete this course are supported to progress into further education, traineeships, apprenticeships, employment and other training.
