About the course
This course provides the level two technical and knowledge units for people seeking a career in the plumbing and heating industry. This 34 week programme also includes practical work in our workshops using industry standard equipment. Successful completion of this course will give you a recognised City & Guilds qualification that can help towards obtaining an apprenticeship or work based qualification (NVQ)
GCSE grades A* - C in English, maths and science, or successful completion of Level one Building Services Engineering course with a suitable reference. A mandatory interview with the course director is also required.
City & Guilds 6035 Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies
What you'll learn (core modules)
This course takes place over two evenings per week. Tues/Thurs 6pm-9pm
The diploma has ten mandatory units;
- Health and safety
- Electrical principles
- Scientific principles for plumbing
- Common plumbing processes
- Cold water systems
- Domestic hot water systems
- Central heating systems
- Drainage systems
- Communication within the building services industry This course is assessed by multiple choice exams, written assignments and practical assessments.
