Overview of course
A beginners session designed to introduce the new user to the fundamentals of digital SLR usage
What will I learn?
Students will look at
- the basics of exposure - Aperture; Shutter speed and ISO - what are these and why are they important?
- Lighting - To flash or not to flash! What settings to use and when.
- Depth of field - what does it mean? And why does it matter?
- Auto focus and Lens choice.
The content of this course will not be specific to one manufacturer however the most popular make of DSLR camera are Nikon and Canon.
Who is the course for?
Anyone who has recently bought a Digital SLR camera and wants to get more from it
Will I have to provide anything?
Please bring your camera and charger and remember to ensure that the battery is FULLY CHARGED. You may find a paper and pen useful for making additional notes although some hand -outs will be provided. If you have an instruction manual for your camera please bring this along too.
