Overview of course
The beginner's course will teach you how to use Layers. This is one of Photoshop's most powerful editing tools. Using Layers enables you to correct the exposure of an image and have complete control over separate areas of the photo. This is particularly helpful when dealing with high contrasting images such as sunsets, trying to clean up accidental inclusions in family shots or work on sharpening a small part of a macro shot. NB: the course will only commence if there are sufficient numbers.
What will I learn?
You will also learn about cloning, cropping, erasing, converting an image to black and white and how to prepare an image for viewing either as an email or on the web. Photoshop is the digital darkroom; it will help you correct images you may think are beyond repair. While you learn photography it is a wonderful aid to better photos. Once you are competent with your camera it will provide an editing platform to present your work at its best.
