Vehicle Maintenance for Electively Home Educated students.
Entry requirements
A keen interest and aptitude for working with vehicles is a basic expectation as is willingness to develop your practical and hands on skills.
Please note: you will be required to provide and wear safety footwear and overalls.
What you'll learn (core modules)
- Knowledge and skills required in the automotive working environment.
- Specialist units e.g. Light Vehicle, Motorcycle, Body Repair and Maintenance.
- Essential workplace tools, equipment and materials.
- Familiarity with workshop tools and practices (particularly safe working).

Project/course work.

Where will the course take me?
Completion of this course and further courses will usually lead to study within 16+ Further Education.
Many students progress on to the Level 1 Vehicle Maintenance course at West Suffolk College.
Will I need any materials or equipment?
You will need overalls and reinforced footwear.
How much will it cost?
The course is fully funded for Electively Home Educated students although there will be a cost for some essential footwear and clothing.
