About the course

This intensive course runs for 12 weeks and can be studied from the comfort of your own home and will require the use of a digital device such as a computer, laptop. or tablet with access to Microsoft Teams.
You will be fully assessed by our professional tutors and advised which qualification would best suit your needs as there are a range of ways to study Maths Functional Skills.
You will access a range of material via an online platform (MS Teams) and attend live tutored sessions delivered by your tutor to small groups. You will also be supported by regular online tutorials with your tutor, as well as the opportunity to access drop-in sessions for additional support with our progress tutor.
All delivery will be online. The tutor will use a variety of teaching methods including explanation and discussion, as well as group and individual activities.
Homework will need to be uploaded to MS Teams for marking on a weekly basis. Support will be provided to enable you to do this, if needed.
In addition to the weekly online sessions, you will be expected to spend additional time on self-study tasks, consolidating your learning and preparing for future sessions. This will total approximately 4-5 hours of study a week.
