Overview of course
This online workshop will give students an opportunity to learn new skills or discover new hobbies from the comfort of their own home. This workshop will be real time learning and your tutor will be available to offer instruction, assistance and advice throughout the whole session. The workshop will be delivered using online tools appropriate to your course and once you are enrolled we will be in touch to give you your joining instructions. This workshop is intended to give you an introduction to the subject and we hope that further, more in-depth classes, will be available later on in the year (subject to current government guidelines).
What will I learn?
This short workshop is designed to teach students the very basics of Portuguese, it will give a flavour of the language and is intended as a bitesize learning session. Subjects explored will include: personal information; food and drinks; asking for directions; numbers and the alphabet. The tutor whose first language is Portuguese will offer expert online guidance and advice.
Who is the course for?
Anyone who has an interest in Portugal or who would like to learn a new language.
Will I have to provide anything?
You can access the class from any computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet as long as it is equipped with a camera and a microphone. Before the workshop, you will be contacted by email with essential lesson information including the materials you will need to have purchased in advance. These materials should all be available in the supermarket of your choice and can be purchased when you are doing your essential shopping (as per exiting government guidelines). Immediately before the class starts we will send you by email, an invitation to join the session, this will be a simple weblink to click. The system is free, secure and easy to use.
