Overview of course
An informal and fun class to follow on from French Year 1, which will help you continue to develop your French language in more complex situations.
What will I learn?
A dynamic course which will enable you to reinforce the knowledge acquired in Year 1 and increase your understanding, fluency and confidence. Although the emphasis will still be on developing speaking, listening and reading skills, basic grammar will be taught more thoroughly to give you a solid base in the language. Writing will mostly feature as homework. The lessons will ensure that you master pronunciation and simple phrases for everyday conversation. The lessons will include a variety of activities and resources aiming to give you excellent opportunities to practice your language skills. The topics will go into more depth and include some of the following: - Shopping - Making appointments - Emergencies - Talking about your home - Talking about the past - Talking about your future plans - Giving an opinion and general conversation.
Who is the course for?
For students who have studied Beginners French, Parts 1, 2 & 3 and French Year 1 or have relevant speaking and writing experience and wish to build on their knowledge of the language and customs.
Will I have to provide anything?
Pen and paper. At the first class, the tutor will recommend a chosen course book that you may purchase as a study aid.

Access to the main college car park is via Beeton's Way (IP33 3TT). At your first session please go to Main Reception in The Gateway where you will be met by the tutor or directed to your classroom.
