Overview of course
Adult Care Workers work as part of a team providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. You will be front line member of staff who helps adults with care and support needs to achieve their goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have choice and control in their lives, empowering them with person centred care. Adult Care Workers work in a range of settings, community care, residential homes, day centres, a persons own home or some clinical healthcare settings.
All learners will be subject to End Point Assessment which includes the following components A Situational Judgement Test (multiple Choice) Portfolio of Evidence completed by apprentice with an interview/professional discussion. All learners will be required to attend taught sessions to be delivered either in workplace or a WSC location.
There are no entry requirements to this qualification but employers may run their own selection process.
During the first part of this qualification you will be supported to achieve the Care Certificate which forms part of your induction and covers the fundamental skills needed to provide quality care. Learners will also be required to achieve their L2 Diploma in Care.
Further course detail
Learners could progress onto Lead Adult Care Worker (L3).
