Overview of course
This short course is for complete beginners, suitable for those with a little or no knowledge to give an insight into computer basics. We are currently using Windows 10.
What will I learn?
The aim of the course is to introduce complete beginners to word processing so that students will be able to produce letters, simple documents, articles etc, and will be able to save, edit and print work produced using the Wordpad program (basic word program that is supplied with your computer). Also a basic introduction to using the internet and email.
Students need no prior experience and need no other access to a computer.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
1. Open a document.
2. Type in and edit text.
3. Save and print a file.
4. Introduction to basic internet searching.
5. Introduction to email (i.e. sending, replying and forwarding emails).
Who is the course for?
People with no prior experience with a computer or limited knowledge on how to use one.
Will I have to provide anything?
