Overview of course
This is a practical Studio Pottery course designed for mixed abilities using stoneware clay.
NB: the course will only commence if there are sufficient numbers.
Please Note: All WSC Pottery Classes are now held at the Milburn Centre, Anglian Lane, Bury St Edmunds (satnav IP32 6SR). There is ample parking and wheelchair access.
What will I learn?
This is an ideal opportunity to create something in domestic ware, sculptural or for use in the garden. Three hours creative time either hand-building or on the potter's wheel. Course covers all aspects of basic hand-building, wheel work and glazing.
The course covers the following: Health & Safety in the workshop, an introduction to the work area, preparation of clay.
Who is the course for?
For students of mixed abilities wishing to further their knowledge and expertise.
Will I have to provide anything?
Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. It would be advisable to bring your own apron and towel, also a notebook and pen may come in handy and a mug for tea/coffee.
