Overview of course
The course incorporates a good mixture of both the practical (hands-on) and theory. By the end of the course, you should have a better understanding of how your camera works, which settings to use for most situations, how to produce images for specific situations and identify what equipment is needed to optimise images for different situations. You will take pictures in a variety of settings, learn how to transfer images to the computer and perform improvements.
What will I learn?
You will learn the basic elements of photography, such as the relationship between ISO, aperture and speed of shot, (how much light is allowed to enter the camera to create the picture). This will help you to understand which setting to use on your camera. By the end of this course students should have the knowledge to better control how their photography turns out rather than pointing, clicking and hoping for the best!
Will I have to provide anything?
Please bring your camera, memory card, fully charged batteries, USB lead and where possible an instruction manual. Images will be downloaded and viewed on the computer.
