Overview of course
Do you ever wish your life was more organised? Would you like to keep track of your spend and your savings? Have you ever wanted to document your CD/DVD collection? Do you run small business and need help keeping records? Well a spreadsheet program can help you do all these things and more. Excel is one of the most widely available spreadsheets as part of the Microsoft Office suite, installed on many new computers. This one day course is an introduction to Excel for complete beginners and will teach you how to enter and edit your information and give you an insight, through examples, of how you can use it to help you at home and in business.
What will I learn?
The course will cover creating and saving spreadsheets, entering and editing information, creating tables, performing basic addition and other calculations, making your work look good and then printing it out. It will use real life examples to demonstrate the features and we can also work on any examples students want to bring. At the end of the course you will have a good basic understanding of Excel, the benefits of using a spreadsheet and when and how they can be used. As this is an all day workshop you may wish to bring a packed lunch, there is a vending machine for hot beverages.
Who is the course for?
All ages and those who wish to update their skills using the Excel program.
Will I have to provide anything?
None required as computers will be provided.
