Overview of course
This is the perfect course for anyone who wants to learn how to build their own multipage website. The tutor uses Expression Web 4 to teach the basics of webpage design. Building the webpage locally students will have an opportunity to build, change and test their website before going live. They can then upload their entire site on to their own choice of web host.
What will I learn?
On this one day workshop students will learn in 4 easy steps how to build a website in a day using Expression Web 4. Students will start from scratch and learn how to set up an empty web site, move on to naming the site and setting Doctypes. The tutor will lead them through how to set up and use a blank HTML web page as a template with help and guidance on designs, layout, inserts, banners and buttons. Once the student has this skill it can be used to make all the pages for the website. Images can be prepared along with text for later addition to the webpage and finally students will be instructed on FTP and how to publish their masterpiece. The tutor will also have many other useful tricks and tips that can save £££££s in professional web designer fees. This is a full-on workshop so please come prepared to work hard but have lots of fun too.
As this is a Saturday workshop you may wish to bring a packed lunch, a vending machine is available for hot beverages.
