About the course

Business is a dynamic subject. You will learn about the diverse nature of business enterprise and the interdependence of the various parts of the business world. You will explore business success and business failure. Furthermore, you will learn how to understand how businesses need to adapt and respond strategically to the changing environment in which they operate to survive and grow.

The Access to HE Diploma is a full Level 3 qualification designed to prepare learners without traditional qualifications for entry into Higher Education (HE).  The Diploma provides opportunity for learners to acquire and develop knowledge and skills needed to progress to higher education study and also enables learners to develop social and emotional skills such as communication and confidence. Learners who complete and achieve the Access to HE Diploma could progress onto Higher Education courses. The Access to HE Diploma could also support access into employment areas where evidence of study and achievement at level 3 is required.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be 19 years of age or older on 31st August prior to the course beginning. Entry is by interview and successful completion of a task within a given timeframe.

Applicants will need to be motivated and be able to manage their own time.

Applicants would benefit from having both English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or above. If you have not achieved either of these qualifications, we highly recommend that should be working towards this, as it would most likely be an entry requirement for a university after the course has completed. We can give you further details at interview if you require either of these qualifications.

Learners will need to have a mature and responsible outlook, as they will be required to work with a high degree of independence throughout much of the course.

This is a unique opportunity to achieve a qualification that gives entry to Higher Education. The qualification is the OCN Access to Higher Education Diploma at Level 3.
