About the course
Business and Retail is a second year option for those studying the Business Extended Diploma. Millions of people in the UK are employed in retailing, an industry we are exposed to daily by simply buying a pint of milk from the corner shop, watching an advert on television or browsing the internet for a new phone. At West Suffolk College, you can learn about this dynamic industry through interactive lessons and project based tasks.
To fully appreciate the retail industry, you need to get out there. During the course, you will be exposed to some successful retailers, both front and back of house. Visits will be linked to your course criteria, allowing you to gaining valuable insight into the running of real businesses. Throughout the course you will be supported by staff who have real life experience and a true passion for the retail industry.
You will need to hold GCSE maths and English at Grade C (4) or above. In your first year of your Extended Diploma, you will need to have an excellent attendance and punctuality record.
