Overview of course
A single unit qualification that is knowledge-only, so can be achieved by individuals who are not currently in an assessor role but want to develop their knowledge and understanding of principles and practices of assessment. It has a 3 credit value which broadly equates to 30 hours of study for the learner. It is usually achieved through a combination of assessment methods, including assignment work, case studies and professional discussion.
There are no formal academic entry requirements.
Further course detail
This course commences with a full day in College to start to find out about the principles and practices of assessment. After that learners study on a one to one basis with their allocated assessor who will support any learning or development required.
