Overview of course
The ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring is designed for managers or members of staff with a significant responsibility for coaching and mentoring within their day to day role.
There are three mandatory units within the Certificate which are incorporated as part of the taught sessions alongside delivering and reviewing at least 18 hours of coaching and mentoring within the workplace.
This course is delivered over 6 days at West Suffolk College, Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3RL between 9am and 4pm.
The course fee includes all tuition fees, course materials and the costs of registration and certification with the ILM.
Further course detail
The course is delivered by attendance at 6 workshops sessions and will cover:
- Weeks 1 to 3 -Unit 8588 5020 Understanding the skills, principles and practice of effective coaching and mentoring within an organisational context
- Weeks 4 & 5 - Unit 8588 501 Undertaking effective coaching or mentoring within an organisational context
- March - July - Period of Work based Mentoring (minimum 18 hours and minimum of 2 mentees) including observation by tutor
- Week 6 - Unit 8588 503 reviewing own ability as a coach or mentor within an organisational setting
