Overview of course

These packages of short courses are designed for anyone associated with sales, marketing and business development and cover the key building blocks necessary to guarantee sustainable sales results.


The secrets of attracting customers consists of 3 stand-alone units which you can choose to pick and mix or undertake all three.  


  • Unique Selling Points (USP's) - Service & sector knowledge (2 hours)
  • Understanding the new world of sales and marketing (2 hours)
  • Customer knowledge & expectations (1 hour)


All units will be run via an online method of delivery (Zoom or Microsoft Team).  Sessions will be interactive and engaging and led by a very experienced and knowledgeable associate lecturer.

Details of the units within Unlocking the mystery of sales are as follows:


Unique Selling Points (USP's) - Service & sector knowledge - Friday 24 July 2020 - 2pm - 4pm


How to identify the unique features and advantages of your products and services.  Understand how these meet customer needs and examine how they compare to competitor's solutions.  Understand the nature of your sector and any likely forthcoming changes to it.  This unit includes market knowledge - understand how your market is segmented and how to target specific segments through effective product or service positioning.  Plus gathering intelligence - collect, analyse and interpret market intelligence and share it appropriately and effectively within your organisation.


Understanding the new world of sales and marketing - Monday 27 July 2020 - 10am - 12pm

Over recent years there has been a seed change in the way people interact with each other and how most purchases are now made.  This unit covers Customer retention, the use of technologies, how to develop and place your business within social communities, how to attract customers through value added services and how to take ownership and develop a marketing strategy that you are in control of.


Customer knowledge & expectations - Monday 27 July 2020 - 2pm - 3pm

All companies tend to boast exceptional customer service, so what will set your business above the competition?  Focusing on gaining an understanding of the expectations of what constitutes a high-quality experience for your customers and how to analyse the macro and micro environment of individual customers, this unit gives you the tools to gain an understanding of the challenges and purchasing motivations of your customers and the internal and external factors that impact their purchasing decisions.
