Overview of apprenticeship
This course is designed for candidates who have completed the two year Apprenticeship programme in Bricklaying and wish to gain an Advanced Apprenticeship. All elements elements of the Advanced Apprenticeship framework will be covered including an NVQ3, Diploma Level 3, Functional Skills at Level 2 (exemptions apply), Employee Rights and Responsibilities.
Where will this course take me?
Bricklaying has a wide range of opportunities that apprentices can be involved with a structured career path, such as new builds and refurbishments. This Apprenticeship might enable progression to Higher Apprenticeships in Construction. After gaining work experience in the chosen occupational area there are also opportunities to progress into occupational work supervision, management or technical support areas or undertake a Foundation degree.
Entry to this framework pathway can be through a variety of routes including previous work in construction, a full time diploma at Level 2 or an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Construction/Trowel Occupations.
On completion of the Advanced Apprenticeship the learner will achieve the following:
-Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction).
-Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying or Trowel Occupations (Construction).
-Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required).
-Employee Rights and Responsibilities.
