Overview of course
As a business owner you'll need to understand, interpret and communicate key financial information, so you can effectively review your business's performance. Our Access Award (Level 1) in bookkeeping offers an introduction to the core areas of bookkeeping. it consists of one unit and associated assessment, covering the role of a bookkeeper and the basic techniques needed to complete simple bookkeeping activities. The qualification offers a progression opportunity on to the AAT Foundation (Level 2) Bookkeeping qualification.
Entry requirements
Unlike other qualifications there are no entry requirements with AAT and you don't need relevant work experience.

AAT assessments are computer based and will be sat at West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds.
There will also be a number of mock assessments to complete during your course to ensure that you are ready for the final assessment.
Will I have to provide anything?
Course will be delivered via a remote platform. Please ensure you have access to a PC or Laptop to undertake the training.
Course fees are £170
This includes your initial exam fee, any resit will need to paid for separately.
It also includes your course book and any additional notes that we provide you.
You will need to pay for your AAT Registration separately, this is £49 approx and you will be shown in class how to do this.
