Overview of course
An art course for students of all abilities. During the course you will learn a wide variety of painting and drawing basics, experiment with existing skills as well as having the opportunity to try new techniques.
What will I learn?
Students will go through various techniques in basic drawing and painting depending on the student's needs. Those already experienced will have the time and the encouragement to try out new skills and broaden horizons. There is always a selection of still lifes to draw and paint or you can bring something you want to work on to the session. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves. There are at least four art appreciation talks during the term in the tea break. The two and a half hour class allows time for work to be finished and a more experimental approach tried.
Who is the course for?
Will I have to provide anything?
Please bring whatever medium you are used to working in. Beginners will need a pad of good quality paper, a set of watercolours, brushes nos 4, 8 and 12. A 2B pencil and rubber, water jar and plate for mixing. Come to the first class and discuss before buying anything new.
