Discover the basics of origami and how to transform coloured paper squares into beautiful Spring flowers that will last forever!
Make a posy of blue and lilac bluebells, a bunch of brightly coloured tulips, or combine the two into a beautiful Spring bouquet.
Create the perfect gift for Mother's Day or a lasting decoration to brighten your home this Spring.
What will I learn?
In the morning we will learn to fold two types of origami Spring flower: the bluebell and the tulip. You will be guided through a series of step-by-step instructions, and will be given a reference sheet to take home with you.
Next, we will learn to wrap floristry wire and then attach our paper flowers to create pretty sprigs of bluebells and elegant single tulips.
After lunch we will spend time finishing our paper posies and bouquets.
Who is the course for?
Suitable for all: beginners or for those with some experience of working with paper.
Will I have to provide anything?
Please bring along £5 on the day to cover the purchase of a pack of origami paper and 60 lengths of cut floristry wire. All other tools and equipment will be provided.
You are also advised to bring a bag in which to safely transport your paper flowers home.
